JOB TITLE: Facilities Electronics Technician I-II

JOB ID:2008-038

Brief Summary: Services, repairs, and troubleshoots electronic problems with machines and equipments.

Essential Functions:

Service, troubleshoot and repair all production machines and equipment
Redesign circuitry when parts are obsolete or an upgrade is needed to keep older equipment operational
Applies trades skills, experience and general knowledge of theory to a wide range of maintenance tasks.
Provides preventive maintenance and cost efficient repairs
Consults with internal and external customers
Works cooperatively with all levels of the organization and assists other trades
Must be available for emergency on-call or after-hours work
Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision to meet expected workflow requirements
Able to work in and contribute to a team environment
All performed tasks must comply with company safety and housekeeping policies

Requirements: Associate’s degree or equivalent in electronics technology with 3 to 5 years experience troubleshooting. Fanuc, Mazak, GE, and Allen Bradley type of machine controls. Strong PC skills and understanding of software is desired. Must be a self-starter, creative, decisive, and dedicated to meeting or exceeding customer’s requirements. Must be able to work in a team environment. Must be able to work safely in confined spaces, and from high elevations using lifts, ladders, etc. Must be able to work all shifts.
