GWR Job Descriptions

Responsible for various tasks associated with Machine Tool Repair for Gleason Rochester Manufacturing.  Responsibilities will include:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul and rebuild all types of machine tools including both Mechanical and Hydraulic.
• Assemble and erect machine tools, adjust for proper operations
• Maintain facility equipment including cranes, pumps, pneumatic doors etc.
• On call availability for emergency call-ins or after hours work
• Work with a minimum amount of supervision
• Work with assembly and detail drawings

Desire candidate with an apprenticeship in machine tool repair, prefer a degree in mechanical technology or equivalent experience.  Two (2) years in machine repair and / or facilities equipment repair.  Must be good at diagnosing mechanical machine related problems. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels within the company. Must be willing to work all shifts and overtime as required.  Must be able to work safely in confined spaces, and from high elevations using lifts, ladders, etc.
