GWR Job Descriptions

The Regional Service Engineer will be primarily responsible for planning and managing field service work in the Southeastern USA. The RSE will support both warranty and demonstration activities on all Gleason machine products.

The RSE will need to become self sufficient within the region and have excellent communication skills. The position will require solid product knowledge and regular training opportunities to grow. In addition to field service the RSE will actively promote and sell repair parts, service and training. This is a critical and challenging position and very important to the overall success of our business. 

• Bachelor’s degree desired and two to four years related machine operation/assembly/service experience.  Knowledge of cylindrical and bevel gear manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Gleason Corporation products and services.
• Five or more years of experience in field service work in the machine tool industry, preferably on Gleason, Pfauter, or Hurth machines.
• CNC experience highly desired with recognized ability in troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Skills in both mechanical and electrical fields is a plus.
• Willingness to travel outside of the Southeast US area as required.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Strong ability to understand and deal with customers in a professional manner.
• Strong orientation towards customer satisfaction.
• The desire to learn and expand knowledge of all products.
