The Opti-Gash® Hob
Opti-Gash® hobs apply the Wafer® concept to small volume gear hobbing applications. Opti-Gash® hobs are CAD-designed from the original customer design, optimizing the combination of small tool diameter and high number of gashes in a bore-type cutter. Available as a throw-away tool with high efficiency tool geometry or as a re-sharpenable tool designed for a specific application with a pre-determined number of resharpenings.
