The Original Wafer® Cutter
The original Wafer® Cutters are designed for high production applications in external or internal gears and splines of spur or low helix angle configurations.
The highly efficient cutting geometry of these cutters gives real increases in productivity on standard or CNC gear shapers.
Tools run faster and stay on the machine longer. No machine setting changes are required at tool changeover - cutters are easily assembled by clamping them between clamp and backup ring (see picture).The Wafer® Cutter eliminates costs that far exceed those of the disposable tool itself.
