180 degree workpiece changer systems with external buffer storage

The 180 degree workpiece changer encircles the tailstock of a hobber and contains two independent loading stations with axial stroke 180 degree apart. As one station is unloading a cut workpiece from the workholding fixture of the machine, the opposite station gripper head is grasping an uncut workpiece. The loader ring rotates 180 degree to reverse the stations so that the workpiece can be returned to the buffer storage and the uncut workpiece placed in/on the workholding fixture.
